    Copper consumption in the United States grew about 30 percent for the period 1992 to 1998 - that's a compound annual growth rate of 4.5 percent, outstripping the growth of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product, which was 3.2 percent for the same period.

    The Copper Development Association has released a new Web site devoted to copper in architecture. Daniel Sternthal, CDA's national program manager for architectural markets, said the site is an exciting expansion of the association's program to provide educational and technical support services to architects, contractors and owners related to the design, installation and maintenance of architectural copper products in North America.

The page entitled: "Copper: It's a Natural for Fuel Gas," located at fuelgas.copper.org, is aimed at industry professionals and includes information on system design, tube sizing and fittings specifications, and recommended installation methods.
