Snow Construction Relies on Copper Plumbing

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK, NY— Snow Construction Inc., a custom home builder in Osceola County, Florida, near Disney World, appreciates the value of copper plumbing. "Sure we could save a few pennies and try plastic," says Nick Gross III, the company's second-generation CEO, "but we're in a quality business. Why mess with something you know is good?"

Each year Snow Construction builds more than $10 million worth of single-family homes in the $90,000 to $500,000 range. Very few are built on spec; almost all are sold - and customized - from model homes.

"Our clientele won't buy tract homes. They want their own touches, and they want lasting value. So we won't fiddle with anything that's unproved or marginal. Moreover, our plumbing crews know copper plumbing. We've never had a problem with it." National Preference

A recent study of residential plumbing contractors throughout the country conducted for Copper Development Association (New York) reports the overwhelming majority prefer copper for water distribution, and more than 9 out of 10 plumbers use it in their own homes. Decades of trouble-free service have proved that copper plumbing systems are unsurpassed in their fundamental values: they are light, strong, durable, corrosion-resistant, easily bent and installed, and economical and cost-effective.

Copper pipe conveyed water to the royal bath of the Egyptian Pharaoh Cheops. According to archaeologists who unearthed the actual 5,000-year-old piping, it was found to be in still useable condition.
