The Copper Air Quality Program brings together a world class team of researchers, practicing clinicians and indoor air quality and environmental engineers to conduct this body of work. The team includes:
- The University of South Carolina's Arnold School of Public Health and its College of Engineering & Computing, Columbia, South Carolina, provide indoor air quality laboratory facilities and engineering resources.
- The Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, contributes its state-of-the-practice procedures based on modern molecular biology.
- Albrecht Environmental, North Charleston, South Carolina, is a small business specializing in mold remediation and indoor air quality improvement.
- The Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) (www.aticorp.org), a leader in world-class solutions for manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, maritime, metals, and healthcare industries, directs the program on behalf of the Telemedicine and Advanced Technologies Research Center (TATRC) under the guidance of the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC)
- The Copper Development Association (www.copper.org), and principal investigator Harold T. Michels, Ph.D., senior vice president, Technology and Technical Services, provide research assistance and access to systems manufacturers through their broad membership base.
