- Copper & Copper Alloy Corrosion Resistance Database is the outgrowth of the Copper Development Association / International Copper Association Copper Select program which is designed to provide users and potential users of coppers and copper alloys with on-line information on the properties, characteristics and uses of coppers and copper alloys.
In particular, the Copper & Copper Alloy Corrosion Resistance Database is derived from work done in 1994 by David B. Anderson, a corrosion expert with extensive experience on computer databases of corrosion data, who reviewed existing corrosion tables for copper alloys and expanded and improved upon them. This was done by reveiwing the technical literature and using it to:
- correct mistakes in the old tables,
- increasing the number of environments covered so that more precise and accurate corrosion ratings could be given, and
- adding short comments to the ratings
- Conditions Contributing to Underground Copper Corrosion
