Join the Copper Development Association

The Copper Development Association is committed to advancing the use and value of copper and its alloys to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving world. From electrification and infrastructure to sustainability and manufacturing, copper is at the center of innovation—and CDA is here to ensure the industry’s voice is heard.

But this work can’t be done alone. CDA’s mission depends on collaboration across the entire copper value chain, including miners, refiners, fabricators, distributors, recyclers, OEMs, and aligned partners. As a member, you’ll gain access to valuable resources, technical expertise, advocacy leadership, and a network of industry peers working toward common goals.

If your company is invested in copper’s future, we invite you to join us. Together, we can shape policies, influence markets, and champion copper’s essential role in society.

Membership Types

CDA’s membership structure reflects the full copper value chain—bringing together companies that are critical to the production, transformation, and application of copper and its alloys.

Under the Association’s by-laws, two primary categories of companies are eligible for full membership:

Producers:

These are mining and refining companies that extract raw copper-bearing materials from the earth and process them into refined copper. Producer members form the foundation of the copper supply chain, supplying the raw material needed for nearly every downstream application.

Fabricators:

These members purchase refined copper from producers and manufacture it into semi-finished products such as copper sheet, tube, rod, wire, and strip. Their work bridges raw materials with end-use markets—supplying OEMs, distributors, and industries ranging from construction and transportation to energy and electronics.

Together, CDA’s producer and fabricator members shape the strategic direction of the Association, contribute to technical and advocacy initiatives, and collaborate to promote copper’s essential role in building a better future.

Membership Types

Current Members

The Copper Development Association’s membership is made up of leading copper producers and fabricators—companies that form the backbone of the copper industry. Our producer members are responsible for mining and refining raw copper, while our fabricator members transform that copper into essential products like sheet, tube, rod, wire, and strip.

Together, these organizations represent some of the most influential names in the industry—ranging from national leaders to multinational corporations. Their combined expertise, innovation, and scale drive the copper market forward and ensure a reliable, high-performance copper supply across North America and beyond.
